As the first public university in Central China’s Henan Province to carry out Sino-foreign joint undergraduate programs, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI) has launched joint programs with universities around the world since 2001. So far, ZZULI has offeredover ten joint programs includingthe programs of Internet Science and Technology, E-Commerce, Product Design, Digital Design, Information Engineering, Accounting, International Business, Food Science and Engineering, Software Engineering etc, ranging fromthe subject in sciences, engineering tobusiness management and art.

International Education College is specifically responsible for the operation and management of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. By integrating advanced foreign educational philosophies, it continuously expands the disciplinary scope of cooperative education, enriches the forms and connotations of international education, and has developed a curriculum system that adheres to the principles of applicability, practicality and internationalization, integrating a global perspective with professional competence, as well as a talent cultivation model featuring "English + Major".In addition to delivering courses to students of the programs, faculty members from partner foreign universities conduct teaching seminars, academic discussions and cultural activities with teachers of ZZULI. Relying on the educational and teaching resources of both ZZULI and partner universities, International Education College has established student-oriented joint laboratories and studios to support students to participate in exchange programs and international group projects to broaden their international horizons.

To date, 129 Chinese students and 110 international students have received full scholarships to study at partner institutions. More than 1,000 students have pursued overseas studies through joint programs and successfully obtained degrees, and been admitted to postgraduate programs at world-renowned universities including Imperial College London, University College London, the University of Manchester, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow, the University of Warwick in the UK; the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, Monash University, the University of New South Wales in Australia; and the Chinese University of Hong Kong etc.

Since its establishment, students of International Education College have won numerous awards in international and domestic competitions: they achieved the 4th place globally in the iF International Design Award, known as the "Oscar of the design world"; won one Gold Award in the Higher Education Track of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2023), marking the university's first-ever gold medal in this event. They also claimed the First Prize in the University Software Category at the National Mobile Internet Innovation Competition, the Second Prize at the National Final of the 2nd Next Generation Internet Technology Innovation Competition, and the First Prize at the National College Students' E-Commerce Challenge, among others.
