On November 20, a four-member delegation, led by Professor Dembitskii Sergei, Vice President of the Kosygin State University of Russia, paid a goodwill visit to ZZULI. President Wei Shizhong and Vice President Zhang Cheng greeted the guests in the VIP room at Kexue Campus. Attendees also included relevant responsible persons and staff from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, College of Material and Chemical Engineering, College of Software Engineering, and College of Energy and Power Engineering.
On behalf of ZZULI, President Wei Shizhong extended his welcome to the visit of the delegation. He briefly introduced ZZULI's development in recent years, particularly academic achievements in light industry specialties. He also emphasized that the College of Arts and Design is one of the special key colleges of ZZULI. After years of construction and development, the College has formed disciplinary and professional advantages with distinctive features. Now it has become an important training base for design and arts professionals in Henan Province and even the whole country, and enjoys a good reputation in the industry. He spoke highly of the Kosygin State University of Russia for its outstanding achievements in design and light industry. Recognizing the strong synergy between the two universities' academic programs, President Wei expressed optimism about the significant potential for collaboration. He hoped the two universities would establish a close partnership to strengthen exchanges, promote mutual learning, and seek common development.
On behalf of the Kosygin State University of Russia, Professor Sergei expressed his appreciation for ZZULI's warm reception. He looked forward to in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the future.
Subsequently, Zhang Cheng and Sergei signed an intercollegiate cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities. After the meeting, the delegation visited the College of Arts and Design and had discussions with relevant teachers.
The visit of the delegation from the Kosygin State University of Russia kicked off the friendly cooperation between the two sides. Both sides will jointly cultivate more applied international talents with international outlook and cross-cultural communication ability to promote the educational, cultural and arts exchanges between the two universities.
