On November 1, a delegation, which included Kepa Mendibil, Associate Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, and Jennifer Gazzard, International Development Manager of the University of Strathclyde, paid a goodwill visit to ZZULI. President Wei Shizhong, along with representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, warmly received the guests at the Kexue Campus.
President Wei Shizhong extended his welcome to the delegation's visit on behalf of ZZULI. He made a brief introduction to the development of ZZULI in recent years, noting the two universities' broad scope of cooperation in the disciplines of engineering and industrial design, and expressed his anticipation for reinforcing cooperation and exchanges in relevant professional disciplines between the two sides.
Kepa Mendibil expressed his gratitude to ZZULI for its warm reception. He briefly introduced the University of Strathclyde, stating the high compatibility between the two universities' relevant engineering specialties. He looked forward to in-depth international cooperation at all levels between the two universities.
After the meeting, the two parties signed an intercollegiate cooperation agreement.
During the same day, the delegation toured ZZULI's College of Material and Chemical Engineering, School of Arts and Design, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. It conducted in-depth communication with the heads of these colleges and the academic leaders of relevant professional disciplines with regard to joint degree programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels and the establishment of joint research laboratories in the areas of material and chemical engineering, industrial design, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering. Kepa Mendibil also presented relevant programs to students from the College of Material and Chemical Engineering, School of Arts and Design, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He detailed the 2+2 program for undergraduates, the 3+1+1 program for undergraduates, the 4+1 program for masters, the exchange student program, and the summer school program between the two universities.
