On October 11, a delegation of seven members, including President Kim Han-kyu of the 21st Century South Korea-China Exchange Association, Chairman Cho Won-young and President Kim Myung-ae of Dongduk Women’s University, paid a friendly visit to our university. They were accompanied by Jiao Kaiju, Second-Level Inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province, and relevant officials from the Department of Education’s Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges. President Wei Shizhong and Vice President Zhang Cheng of ZZULI warmly received the guests in the VIP room of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Kexue Campus, along with representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department.
President Wei Shizhong welcomed the delegation in the VIP room of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. On behalf of the university, he extended a warm welcome to the delegation, as well as to the officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province and the Department of Education. He briefly introduced the recent developments in the university’s discipline construction, talent cultivation, and international cooperation. He highlighted that our university has maintained a successful partnership with higher education institutions in South Korea for 20 years, establishing inter-university cooperation agreements with 14 South Korean universities. These collaborations include student exchanges, faculty visits, and joint research. He expressed hope for future cooperation between the two universities in areas such as joint postgraduate programs and faculty teaching and research collaborations, further promoting diversified and comprehensive development.
Kim Han-kyu and Cho Won-young expressed their gratitude for the warm invitation and reception from our university. They briefly introduced recent developments at Dongduk Women’s University, noting the high compatibility between the two universities’ academic programs, and expressed their anticipation for fruitful cooperation between the institutions.
After the meeting, in the presence of officials from the Foreign Affairs Office and the Department of Education, representatives from both universities signed a cooperation agreement, formally establishing inter-university relations.
During the meeting, the delegation held discussions with representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the School of Foreign Languages. The two sides had in-depth and detailed conversations on joint postgraduate training, faculty exchanges, and research collaboration.
The delegation also visited ZZULI’s library and the showroom of special achievements, where they highly praised the significant accomplishments in scientific research at our university.
