2021 IEEE 7th International Conference on Virtual Reality Co-organized by ZZULI Successfully Held

2021 IEEE 7th International Conference on Virtual Reality (ICVR2021) co-organized by ZZULI was successfully held in Foshan, Guangdong, from May 20 to 22, 2021. The Conference focused on key issues in international virtual reality industry, and invited a number of top-level experts and scholars along with enterprise representatives in the field of virtual reality to conduct in-depth discussions on technical areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and 3D interface, and share the current applications of technological innovation and future development trends.

Qiu Kenan, Deputy Director-General of Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and Xu Guo, Deputy Mayor of Foshan City, attended the opening ceremony. Zhao Qinping, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a keynote report on Developing Digital Twin Network to Support the Deep and Wide Applications of Virtual Reality. Prof. Zhou Mingquan, Director of Virtual Reality Application Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education and Director General of China Virtual Reality Industry-University-Research Strategic Alliance, Prof. Pan Zhigeng, Chief Scientist of China’s National Key R&D Programmes (NKPs), and Prof. Hao Zhifeng, President of Foshan University, made excellent keynote reports.

The Conference was hosted by IEEE and Foshan University, and co-organized by ZZULI and North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power. Prof. Liang Hui, Assistant Dean of College of Software Engineering of ZZULI, served as the Co-chairman of the Organization Committee of the Conference and the host of the Chinese Forum.
