The emergency management information technology research team is formed by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and the government of Henan Province. Based on the project of the key technology research and application demonstration of national emergency platform system, the research team mainly focuses on the public safety emergency information and technology. The research team is consisted of 15 team members. Professor Gan Yong is the team leader, and Jin Baohua, Qian Shenyi, Zhu Fubao, Xi Guangyong, Zou Dongyao, Xia Yongquan, Zhu Huidong, Wu Huaiguang, Zheng Yuanpan, Li Suping, Wang Hua, Yin Yifeng, Wang Zhiguo, Liu Shuru are the team members. The research interests include emergency platform construction, emergency process management, emergency plan, emergency assessment, emergency resource allocation and scheduling, and application and practice of emergency management. The research team has undertaken a number of national scientific research projects, such as color image quality evaluation based on natural image statistics and visual redundancy mechanism, study on the content of sensitive visual media retargeting  based on visual effect that can be calculated cognitive modeling, study on the complex environment of high carbon dioxide gas diffusion characteristics of instantaneous and less expansion, and Henan province organization statistics of real name system for network management system. It obtained 10 patents and software copyrights, and it has strong research ability, and has the rich achievements in scientific research.
