I.Team Profile
Innovation team of key technology for harm reduction and flavor strength of Chinese style cigarettes in Henan province was founded in 2009.Under t Professor Mao Duobin, basing on the backbone teachers who are majored in Tobacco engineering of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, after years of cooperative research, we got talent team which has the reasonable structure of age, academic, title, and flange. The Lab of our team covers 2600 square meters, including cigarette flavoring, flavor distinguishing, cigarette formula judgment, tobacco chemical, gas chemical, biotechnology and other professional laboratories, with large instruments and equipment such as GC/MS, HPLC, AAS, smoke machine, super high pressure and super critical CO2 extraction and molecular distillation valued more than 22 million yuan. Latent fragrant material analysis and bio-synthesis, herbaceous plants for the compensation of cigarette fragrance and nicotine bio-degradation mechanism, three relatively independent and cross fusion research direction was formed naturally. In recent years, our team has undertaken more than 50 items of the provincial-level key projects, published more than 300 research papers both at home and abroad, completed 24 provincial science and technology appraisal results, obtained 12 patents of invention, 4 items of above second prize at the provincial level awards and 12 works. Our research is in the leading domestic level in the areas of latent fragrant material analysis and synthesis and bio-degradation mechanism of nicotine.

III.The research field
1、Latent fragrant material analysis and synthetic: setting up the pretreatment method and the method for qualitative and quantitative analysis of Latent fragrant material, do the research of the pretreatment method and the method for qualitative and quantitative analysis, accurate characterization the style characteristics of The Chinese type cigarette and the difference with Foreign cigarettes; The formation of application achievements with independent intellectual property rights.
2、The Compensation of herbaceous plants to Cigarette fragrance: setting up the research of Screening, Extraction, Separation and purification, Adding process and Law of cracking transfer and so on of the herbaceous plants.
3、Nicotine bio-degradation mechanism: using a strain of Arthrobacter nicotinovorans Z3 as the starting strain, to further clarify the inhaled and physiological function of security of the 6-hydroxyl Nicotine compared with the nicotine.

In recent years, our team has published more than 300 research papers both at home and abroad, completed 24 provincial science and technology appraisal results, obtained 12 patents of invention, 3 items of above second prize at the provincial level awards and Published 12 books.
