Advanced Heat Transfer
Advanced heat transfer focuses on the basic principle of heat conductionconvective, heat transfer, thermal radiation and heat transfer enhancement. It mainly describes the basic equation and solving method of flow and heat transfer. Its content includes theoretical basis of thermal conductivity, multidimensionalsteadythermal conductivity, unsteadythermal conductivity, the approximate solution of heat conduction, the basic equations of convection about heat transfer and mass transfer, laminar flow and heat transfer.
Advanced Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics
This course is the study of the flow of fluids. Properties normally ascribed to fluids include density, compressibility and dynamic viscosity. In general, the motion of fluids is extremely complicated, including highly nonlinear phenomena like turbulence, and cannot be described exactly. The study of the course is a central theme of modern applied mathematics. It is used to model a vast range of physical phenomena and plays a vital role in science and engineering.
Tensors provide a natural and concise mathematical framework for formulating and solving problems in areas of physics. In many significant parts of the course Cartesian tensor calculus is needed, and hence a short description of this technique is given in the beginning of the course together with the conception of gradient, divergence, vorticity and some useful mathematics.
Advanced Engineering Thermodynamics
The aim of this course is to provide a better understanding how using energy more reasonable. It is constructed of two parts: the basic theory and applications, the former encloses available energy, thermal properties of substances, pure and mixture, phase equilibrium, efficiency with maximum power and irreversible process thermodynamics. The latter encloses introduction to applications of thermodynamics to biological system and to fuel cell and others. The specific contents covered are: equilibrium and equilibrium credit, the first law and second law, equations state and thermal properties of substances.
Numerical Heat Transfer
This course focuses on heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, chemical reaction, and other related processes that occur in engineering equipment, the natural environment, and living organisms. Using simple algebra and elementary calculus, this course develops numerical methods for predicting these processes mainly based on physical considerations. Through this approach, learners will develop a deeper understanding of the underlying physical aspects of heat transfer and fluid flow as well as improve their ability to analyze and interpret computed results.
Heat Pump and Air Conditioning System
Heat Pump and Air Conditioning System is an important required course for the major of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, and is an extension of undergraduate knowledge about heat pump and air conditioning systems. The main contents include the basic principle of heat pump, heat source and drive energy of heat pump, air-cooled hot/cold water units, water source heat pump, ice-storage air conditioning system, high-temperature phase change storage air conditioning system, water storage air conditioning system, and adsorption air conditioning and heat pump.
Frontier of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering Subject
This course aims at the latest development of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering Subject, expending the research area and putting forward the academic thought of research direction and technicalroute. This course includes energy usage of refrigeration air-condition, refrigerant and refrigeration systems, simulation and optimization of refrigeration systems, the control of refrigeration systems, cryogenic refrigerator, the heat transfer of cryogenic fluid, technology of heat exchange.
