Introduction of Disciplines

This discipline’s research team has 24 members include 10 titled above assistant professor and 12 Ph.D. This discipline based on the undergraduate majors of social work, labor and social security, public administration and legal science, doing the theoretical and applied research combined with the academic foreland and the economic and social development of Henan. There are three directions in this discipline, including welfare policy research, study on national life quality and happiness and urban and rural community development. Sociology is the second-rate key discipline on the provincial level, and has Social Development Research Centre of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, which is the member of Henan’s social management collaborative innovation centre and Hubei’s social governance collaborative innovation centre. By now, this discipline has  academic master program of “social work and social law”  and MSW.

Course Introduction

Course title:  social policies and regulations

There are three parts in this course, introduction of social policy, theory of social policy and specific policies of different departments. This course seeks to cultivate students’ ability to use the theory and method of social policy flexibility, and enrich their knowledge about Chinese social policies and regulations.
