Environmental Engineering

This major is a composite of professional expertise with four-year educational system, which concerned on developing individuals possessing basic theory and practical knowledge of chemistry, chemical engineering, and environmental science, mastering fundamental theory and special knowledge of pollution prevention, environmental monitoring, quality assessment, environmental management and planning and cleaner production, equipped with solid ability of engineering practice and computer application. Students in this major mainly learn fundamental and special knowledge including chemistry, chemical engineering, machinery foundation, analysis technology, basic environmental science, pollution control; meanwhile, students also receive training on foreign language and computer technology. The graduate can find job at planning department, environmental protect department, industrial enterprises, research and development institution, designing institution and university, engaged in environmental engineering planning and designing, scientific research, product development, economic and technology management, education, as well as environmental management in government departments.
