According to the latest statistics from the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database released by Clarivate Analytics in July 2024, ZZULI's Computer Science has entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings for the first time, marking a new milestone for the university in disciplinary development. Up to now, a total of five disciplines of ZZULI have entered the top 1% globally in ESI, including Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Agricultural Science, and Computer Science. Among these, Chemistry, Engineering, and Agricultural Science have also entered the top 5‰ of ESI global rankings.
According to statistics, this data spans 10 years and 4 months (from January 1, 2014 to April 30, 2024). Globally, a total of 788 universities and research institutions have Computer Science ranked among the top 1% of ESI rankings. ZZULI has contributed 498 papers in the field of Computer Science, including 11 high-impact papers, with a total of 5,065 citations and an average of 10.17 citations per paper. In recent years, the university has consistently prioritized discipline development, adhering to the principles of striving for excellence, fostering distinctiveness, strengthening foundations, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. The university has concentrated resources and efforts on improving disciplinary distribution and characteristics as it works to take discipline development to a new level.
