The Intelligent Perception and Control Big Data Development & Innovation Laboratory was approved for establishment in August 2022. It is driven by the development of big data, intelligent control, and environmental perception technologies. Based on the fields of computer science and technology, control science and engineering, information science, and artificial intelligence theory, the laboratory is committed to the cross-fertilization of multidisciplinary areas related to the next generation of information technology. It has now developed distinct and prominent research directions, including Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems Control, Advanced Sensors and Detection, and Big Data Analysis and Modeling.
The laboratory has a high-level team of approximately 70 scientific and technological talents. The technical team relies on two first-level academic master's degree authorization points in Electrical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, as well as two second-level academic master's degree authorization points in Test Measurement Technology and Instruments, Bioinformatics Processing and Control (self-established). Additionally, there are four professional master's degree authorization points in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. Meanwhile, the laboratory possesses two innovative science and technology teams in Henan Province, namely Electrical Equipment Information Processing and Intelligent Control and Bioinformatics Processing, as well as three science and technology innovation teams from universities in Henan. In the field of innovation towards intelligent perception and control big data, the laboratory demonstrates clear advantages, establishing deep industry-academic research collaborations with well-known companies in the province such as Hanwei Technology and Pingao Group.
The laboratory conducts scientific research and technological development centered around the significant demands of Advanced Sensing and Detection, Big Data Modeling and Artificial Intelligence and Control. It has distilled distinctive and advantageous disciplinary directions, using discipline development to lead scientific research and promoting discipline development through scientific research. Guided by the development of big data, it has refined disciplinary characteristics. Through a combination of internal cultivation and external recruitment, it has strengthened the construction of disciplinary teams, forming disciplinary development teams. By closely aligning with societal needs, the laboratory solidifies its research foundation, generates high-quality research results, promotes the transformation of outcomes, and enhances the capacity of constructing the local Economic construction.
