ZZULI recently received an approval letter from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE). The MOE has approved, upon expert evaluation and review according to the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools and the Implementation Measures, the cooperation between ZZULI and the Oakland University in establishing ZZULI-OU Intelligent Engineering Joint Institute (referred to as the “Joint Institute”).

The Joint Institute is affiliated with ZZULI as a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution without corporate capacity. It offers programs for bachelor’s degrees, including artificial intelligence (100 students/year), vehicle engineering (100 students/year), and automation (50 students/year). The Joint Institute shall strictly implement the national enrollment policy and recruit students in line with the national enrollment plan for regular higher education institutions. Qualified students will be awarded the graduation certificate and the certificate of bachelor’s degree by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, and the corresponding certificate of bachelor’s degree by Oakland University.

It is reported that the Joint Institute is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution at the undergraduate level in Henan that has been established in cooperation with an American university since the implementation of 13th Five-Year Plan.
