Roundtable Forum for Application and Practice of Intelligent Manufacturing was organized

On December 3, 2022, the 2022 National Symposium on Theories and Applications of Advanced Production Systems and Intelligent Manufacturing Practice Forum was successfully held. It was undertaken by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, and co-organized by universities and companies including Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Henan University of Technology, Henan University of Science and Technology, Gree Electric Appliances (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd., and Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. Prof. Wei Shizhong, President of ZZULI, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Organized by the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at ZZULI, the conference was attended online by more than 900 experts and scholars.

Prof. Zheng Li, Vice President of Tsinghua University, addressed the opening remarks, and Prof. Tang Dunbing at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics delivered the closing remarks. Four experts, including Academician Yang Huayong at Zhejiang University, Prof. Gao Liang at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Zhang Jie at Donghua University, and Prof. Jiang Pingyu at Xi’an Jiaotong University, were invited to deliver keynote speeches. Fourteen experts including Prof. Liu Xiaojun at Southeast University and Researcher Wang Baicun at Zhejiang University were invited to give special reports on critical technologies of intelligent manufacturing. The Roundtable Forum for Application and Practice of Intelligent Manufacturing was organized during the conference, and five enterprise professionals carried out in-depth discussions on industrial software, critical technologies and industrial applications of intelligent manufacturing on the forum. Nine experts, including Prof. Tao Fei at Beihang University, Prof. Liu Jianhua at Beijing Institute of Technology, Prof. Wang Junqiang at Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Prof. Liu Qiang at Guangdong University of Technology, moderated the conference.

Concentrating on the new theories, new technologies and new methods of production systems, with diverse online communication modes, and under the lively academic atmosphere, the experts and scholars explored the application and practice of a new generation of enabling technologies, e.g. artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, cloud computing, big data, and digital twin, in product R&D and design, production and manufacture, operation and management, intelligent operation and maintenance. The conference has raised the prestige and influence of ZZULI in intelligent manufacturing, and promoted the exchanges and cooperation among ZZULI, prestigious universities, and leading enterprises.
