The International Joint Lab for Smart Micro-Grid of Henan (IJLSMG) was approved in 2016 by Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Driven by the development requirements of advanced new energy generation, power conversion, and smart grid technology, and based on power systems, power electronics, control science, information science and reliability theory, IJLSMG is committed to the interdisciplinary integration of new energy and electrical engineering, control science and engineering. IJLSMG has established research directions characterized by distinct features and notable advantages including clean energy power generation and grid connection; micro-grid energy management and control technology; reliability of power electronic devices and power conversion devices; as well as smart energy and Internet of Things.
IJLSMG possesses a theoretical research, technology and product development team comprising distinguished professors, and esteemed Ph.D. holders. The team consists of 48 team members, including 9 professors, 14 associate professors, and 43 individuals holding doctoral degrees.A highly skilled talent pool has been assembled with due consideration given to age appropriateness, educational background relevance, and professional titles.
IJLSMG has a total area exceeding 400 m2, and houses over 20 sets of large-scale experimental equipment with an aggregate value surpassing 10 million yuan. This includes Myway power electronic power conversion development platform from Japan, as well as electric drive analyzer and motor-to-trailer systems.
In terms of achievement transformation, IJLSMG has developed dynamic voltage restorers, chain-type active dynamic reactive power compensation and harmonic control devices, combined intelligent amorphous alloy transformers and other intelligent power distribution management equipment, LoRa smart energy systems, NB-IoT smart energy management. We have made significant contributions to the comprehensive management and reliable operation of power quality in subway rail transit construction, airport terminal construction, and Electric Power of Henan.
Around the goals of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060 proposed by Chairman Xi Jinping, IJLSMG focuses on the characteristics of high proportion of renewable energy and high proportion of power electronics in the power system, fully recognizing the immense development potential of micro-grid under the dual carbon goal. We will continue to promote the scientific research, deepen comprehensive cooperation with domestic and international partners, expand our talent pool, and optimize the experimental conditions.
