Recently, ZZULI held the academic exchange week on Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of Mechanical Equipment. This academic exchange seminar was hosted by the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and co-organized by the Office of Discipline Construction, the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office and the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

During the academic exchange week, some outstanding professors delivered 15 high-level academic lectures, which may benefit more than 1700 teachers and students from inside and outside the school. Professor Lei Yaguo from Xi’an Jiaotong University, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, was invited to give an academic report on “Intelligent Operation and Maintenance of Machinery and Equipment Driven by Big Data”; and Professor Tao Fei, from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a Yangtze River Scholar from the Ministry of Education , gave an academic report titled “Digital Twins: Status Quo, Concepts, Challenges ;  Professor Liu Jianhua, a top young talents of National Ten Thousand Talents Program from Beijing Institute of Technology, delivered a report on Digital Twin Connotation and Workshop Digital Twin Construction; Professor Wang Junqiang of Northwestern Polytechnical University made Batch Processing Dispatch research challenges and progress academic report; Head of Open Project from the Beihang University, Sun Yat-sen University and other internal and external key laboratories also made a series of high-level academic reports.

During the academic exchange week, a total of hundreds of teachers and students, including experts and some outstanding alumni, visited the key laboratories. This academic exchange week activity has enhanced teachers and students' understanding of the national strategy of intelligent manufacturing, and enhanced students' enthusiasm for learning new engineering courses in intelligent manufacturing.

Thanks to the strong support of ZZULI, the Key Labs have made a brilliant progress since the establishment in March 2017. Close cooperative ties with well-known domestic and foreign experts, first-class universities and leading enterprises have been developed. Academician Li Peigen, Academician Tan Jianrong and Professor Li Chuan accepted ZZULI’s offer to act as the leading researcher in certain positions. The key laboratory held the Second Academic Conference on Digital Twins and Intelligent Manufacturing Services, set up open topics, and introduced a series of rewards for scientific research results. The above measures have greatly improved the academic vitality of the laboratory, the quality of scientific research output and the influence of disciplines, and achieved a historic breakthrough in the training of national-level young talents. This key laboratory academic exchange week activity has played a positive role in promoting the construction of our school's laboratory, discipline and doctoral programs.
