This Master's Degree in Computer Technology is market-oriented and computer frontier oriented, which will develop computer technology type of practical engineering, composite high-level talents for the national information development strategy. Degree recipients should master solid foundation of theory and broad professional knowledge in the field of computer,advanced technology and methods to solve engineering problems and modern technology. They should have ability to independently responsible for engineering technology and engineering management.There are 5 research directions include computer network, database technology, embedded system, image processing, 3G and wireless communications. The Master's Degree in Computer Technology opened in 2011,enrolled 40 people, graduated 8 of them.


The Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Technology is to develop high-level talents with good scientific literacy, all-round development, a solid foundation, wide knowledge, strong ability, high quality and the spirit of innovation. Degree recipients should master the basic theory and application skills of computer hardware and software;have strong practical ability; be engaged in computer teaching, scientific research and application in enterprises and institutions, government agencies, administrative departments and other units. This Master’s Degree was ratedfirst-degree priority discipline in Henan Province, and opened in 2004,enrolled 78 people, graduated 64 of them. There are 4 research directions of database and information integration, computer network technology, embedded system and intelligent system, spatial information processing.

The Master’s Degree in Software Engineering is to develop high-level talents based on theory and methods in mathematics, logic, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, systematic and computer science related fields. Degree recipients should apply the research results to the field of knowledge and data processing, promote software engineering related application to play an active role in various fields of the national economy, and improve the social benefit and economic benefit. This Master’s Degree was rated second-degree priority discipline in Henan Province in 2012, and opened in 2007 as Computer Software and Theory, enrolled 30 people, graduated 14 of them. There are 4 research directions of emergency platform software support environment, formal methods in software engineering, software development and testing, system simulation and computing.

The Master's Degree in Signal and Information Processing is the second-degree discipline with first-degree priority discipline of Information and Communication Engineering. Postgraduate students should master the basic theory and technology of signal and information processing, the general theory and technology of electronics, computer and control science; have the ability to engage in research and development and teaching in signal and information processing and related fields. Degree recipients could be engaged in research and develop work in the fields of the electronics and communications, finance, commerce and enterprise information technology management and computer software & hardware; and be engaged in teaching and research work, the government civil servants in information and communications technology research institutions and teaching departments. There are 4 research directions include data communication and security, intelligent information processing, image processing and pattern recognition, and wireless communication technology. The Master's Degree in Signal and Information Processing opened in 2007, enrolled 34 people, graduated 25 of them.

Course Name: Software Design Pattern

Course Description: This course mainly discusses code standards, design patterns, system architectures, and process management in software design and development. Coding standard part introduces program design code specifications and comments, in order to enhance the readability of the program. Design pattern part introduces the thought of reuse, creational patterns, structural patterns, behavioral patterns, technology implementation, and application scenario. System architecture part introduces the development environment establishing, functional module dividing, code logic structure, and the safety, stability, concurrency, response time of the system. Process management part introduces requirements analysis, business modeling, system design,detail design, code implementation, system operation and maintenance.


Distributed database system

Distributed database system is a combination of database systems and computer networks to be a professional basic courses. It is the principal means of enterprise information integration and sharing, especially in the era of Internet, e-commerce, e-government applications and virtual enterprises require a wide range of data acquisition and integration. Through this course of study, graduate students should learn and understand the basic principles of distributed databases, methods and algorithms, depending on the situation on the basis of this design distributed database systems. In addition, the new technologies emerging in this field, there are many topics need to do in-depth study, such as database systems, Web data integration, Web services , cloud computing  and big data technology are the focus of current research, which laid the foundations for graduate students choose research topics.


Advanced Computer Architecture

Definitions, principles and structures of computer architecture are introduced in this course. The related analysis method of computer architecture is presented as well. And then, we elaborate system concurrency, embedded computer system, System on Chip and thinking of design of chip multi-processor emphatically. The aim of this course can make students to be able to analyze computer system in the overall structure view and help students to establish a whole concept of computer system.

This course is an elective course of computer science and technology and information and signal processing professional for postgraduates; it is an important course for training high level of image processing research and application development. The course mainly introduces the methods and techniques of image processing, such as how to remove noise, enhance image, coding and decoding, image segmentation, feature extraction and recognition, and so on. The course is mainly introduced by using a variety of teaching means and methods, students will master the basic theory and calculation method of image processing and have general understanding of the origin, the development of image communication, status quo and future development. Students can understand the related image processing technology, familiar with the process of image processing research and application development.

Signal Detection and Estimation”

This course is a required course of signal processing research direction; it is an important course for training high level of signal processing research and application development. The course mainly introduces the basic concept, theory and related computation methods of signal detection and estimation. The main contents include the methods and techniques of stochastic signal processing methods, random variables, stochastic processes, statistical description, statistical properties of complex random process, statistical description of random parameter signal, and so on. The course is mainly introduced by using a variety of teaching means and methods, students will master the basic theory and calculation method of signal detection and estimation theory, such as signal detection, parameter estimation and signal status analysis of signal waveform. Students can understand the signal detection and estimation theory, technology and method, familiar with the research and application development of signal detection and estimation.

This course is based on embbed CPU of the ARM series, shows us the architecture, performance and operational principle of the embed system, analyses changes from V4 to V8 architecture. It introduces the ARM instruction system and the programming rules of assembler language in details. Using Sumsing S3C2440 as an example the course introduces the software hardware organization and development method of embbed system, start-up procedure, migration of the bootstrap program, it lays the foundation for the development of embedded system application. This course requires students to complete the migration of bootstrap program and the operating system, and experiments for developing applications.

Artificial IntelligenceCourse Introduction

Artificial intelligence is an importantbranch of computer science,is one of the corecourses of computerscience and technology specialty. Artificial intelligence is theperception,reasoning,learning,thinking,planning and otherhuman intelligenceactivitiesand study how to usecomputer to simulatethe human brainare engaged,to address the need to resolvethe use of humanintelligencetothe problem,by extending the peopleintelligencescience. This courseaims toenable students to master thebasic concepts,basic principles of Artificial Intelligence,knowledge representation,inference mechanism andsolution techniques,technical methods and relatedresearch fields. Digital information coding and compression

 This course introduces the basic principles, methods of digital information compression and coding and the corresponding international standard. The specific contents include: basic knowledge of information theory; the species and principle of signal  coding; the basic principles and methods of digital information compression, especially audio, image and video compression; the content and application of international standard, such as JPEG, JPEG2000, H.261, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MPEG-7.



Modern Signal Processing


This is a basic course for the master students majoring in electronic information with a higher requirement on theory. It focus on the basic theory and method on signal processing by computer. It has a strong relation in practice application. There are many real examples in signal transformation and filters design. Through this course, we aim to train the students to analyze the problems and solve the problems with the learned theory and methods and improve the abilities.
