School of Electronics and Information consists of one hundred and eighteen teaching and administrative staffs, including 48 teachers with senior professional titles and 75 doctoral (postdoctoral) students; We have more than 30 high-level talents, including scholars from the Yangtze River, national outstanding young people, leading talents in scientific and technological innovation in Central Plains, renowned teachers in teaching in Central Plains, provincial renowned teachers in teaching, academic and technological leaders at the provincial level, top talents in Central Plains youth, provincial outstanding young people, young backbone teachers in provincial universities, and provincial teaching pacesetters. We also have 8 scientific research teams, including provincial university scientific and technological innovation teams.

The college has two provincial-level key disciplines: Information and Communication Engineering and Condensed Matter Physics, three academic master's degree authorization points: Information and Communication Engineering, Chemical Physics Technology, and Materials Science and Engineering, and four professional master's degree authorization fields: New Generation Electronic Information Technology, Communication Engineering, Optoelectronic Information Engineering, and Materials Engineering. We have established research and teaching platforms such as the Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Magnetoelectric Information Functional Materials, the Henan Provincial Physics Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Information Optics and Optoelectronics Technology, the Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Quantum Sensing and Artificial Quantum Materials, and the Quantum Science and Technology Research Institute. We have a batch of precision instruments and equipment, including Raman spectrometer, infrared spectrometer, positron spectrometer, semiconductor testing system, and comprehensive physical property testing system, with a total value of over 40 million yuan.

In recent years, the college has hosted and undertaken over 40 National Natural Science Foundation projects, over 60 provincial-level scientific research projects, and more than 20 horizontal cooperation projects. It has received over 10 provincial-level scientific and technological awards and received over 35 million yuan in research funds; Published over 500 SCI and EI indexed papers; Authorize over 40 national invention patents; Published over 30 textbooks and academic works. The college has continuously strengthened academic exchanges and cooperation, and has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, well-known domestic institutions and enterprises.
