Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University have been jointly offering undergraduate programmes since 2003. The programmes currently offered involve six subjects: International Business, E-Commerce, Internet Science & Technology, Product Design, Environmental Design and Arts of Digital Media. ZZULI and ENU are committed to jointly offering courses at undergraduate level with distinctive international elements by sharing both advantages and resources. The programmes, with an overall aim to nurture internationally versatile talents, provide students with exceptional strength in English language, practical abilities, creativity and international awareness.
Multiple options are provided for students who participate in the programmes. Students can choose to complete the four-year programme at ZZULI or transfer to ENU at a certain stage during the four years. So far, up to 400 students have successfully transferred to ENU, leading to both ENU and ZZULI degrees upon completion of the courses.
Over the years, the joint collaborative programmes have developed into the most influential cooperation in the field of higher education throughout Henan Province and Scotland. Graduates from the programmes spread over industries throughout the country such as banks, insurance, securities, foreign or joint venture companies, government, academic institutions etc. The programmes stand out of other undergraduate programmes by high graduate employability and remarkable academic achievements.

Arts of Digital Media
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. Representing a new expansion of information science to the domain of art and design, this program is focused on design of digital technologies, media information and visual products etc. The overall aim of this program is to nurture creative versatile talents who possess exceptional artistic taste, professional skills and capabilities of using digital media creatively. Graduates from this program will be competent as researchers, designer or managers in industries associated with media information design, intelligent information design, web media, interactive games development, film production, exhibition and animation. Core modules include Introduction to Digital Arts, Digital Media Design, Information Interaction Design, New Media Design, Digital Video, Visual Advertising, Branding and Digital Design etc.
Product Design
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. Focusing on the combination of theories and practice, skills and arts, this program aims to provide students with up-to-date concepts of design, sound foundation in design theories, exceptional professional skills, acute understanding of arts, ability to think critically and strong communicative skills. Graduates from this program will be able to work on product development in industries, professional design enterprises, academic institutions etc. Core modules include Introduction to Design, Modelling Foundation, History of Industrial Design, Ergonomics、Preliminary Product Design, Materials and Techniques、Method of Product Design etc.
nvironmental Design
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. This program aims to meet the demands of modern society and to nurture international professionals who have a systematic knowledge and skill structure in environmental design, possess good aesthetic taste, strong creativity and remarkable qualities as a designer, have a good command of up-to-date design methods and the ability to evaluate and make use of the latest information and techniques in the field. This program consists of two module structures – interior design and landscape design. Core modules include History of Architecture, History of Gardening, History of Arts and Crafts, Architecture Design and Construction, Interior Spatial Design, Ergonomics, Building Materials and Construction, Interior Decoration Materials, Illumination Design etc.
E-Commerce
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. This program provides students with basic theories and technologies on E-Commerce, foundational skill training in e-business planning, implementation and management. Students are to understand the theories of e-commerce and cutting-edge developments, be familiar with common laws and rules in electronic business and master the basic skills like web design and building a website. Students will be equipped with strong abilities in computer applications and handling computer network information as well. Graduates from the program can work in various businesses, governmental institutions conducting communication, operation and management of E-commerce. International Business
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. This program offers basic theories and knowledge in economics, international economy and international trade etc. The students are provided with professional training in economics and management, who, therefore, are equipped with analyzing skills and practical abilities, aware of the latest development in both Chinese and world economy, have a good command of applying modern approaches to economic analysis and are able to handle the process of international trade. Core modules include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to World Economy, International Trade, International Finance, International marketing, International Services Trade, International Economic Cooperation, International Economics, International Payment, International Business Negotiation etc.
Internet Science and Technology
This undergraduate program is jointly offered by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Edinburgh Napier University with distinctive international characteristics. This program provides further knowledge of the concepts and principles of network computing technology, which enables students to apply the concepts, principles to the specification, installation maintenance and support of networked computer systems in relation to range of technologies. The aim of Internet Science and Technology Program is to equip students with abilities in network design and applications, information security system design and development, as well as competence for project management. Graduates will be qualified for design, development, deployment, operation, maintenance or research in computer network and information security system. Core modules are Programming, Data Structure, Principles of Computer Organization, Computer Operating System, Database, Computer Network, Information Security, Network System Management, Network Protocol Analysis etc.
