On the evening of November 14, a special concert of China National symphony orchestra was held successfully in the great hall of ZZULI. This concert is part of a series of “Elegant Art into Campus” jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Finance. Mr. Chen Xieyang, the guest conductor, Mr. Guan Xia, the leader of China National symphony orchestra and Mr. Liu Yunzhi, the band’s chief made a wonderful audio-visual feast with all artists of National symphony orchestra to our teachers and students. Mr. Dou Xiaomin, Deputy Party Secretary of ZZULI, attended the concert and enjoyed it with thousands teachers and students.

Before the start of the concert, on behalf of ZZULI, Mr. Dou Xiaomin gave a welcome speech to all artists of National symphony orchestra. He said that “Elegant Art into Campus activities” played an important role in improving college students’ qualities of art and culture and the concert would also play a positive role in students’ artistic and humanistic training.

The concert began with “chaoyang ditch overture”, a song full of the characteristics of Henan opera. On the basis of Henan opera “chaoyang ditch”, the overture developed in a symphonic style and expressed a blend of Chinese and Western modern music mode, which gave a new vitality to the traditional opera. Then, “Dance of the Yao”, “Lifting your lids”, which are full of national characteristics, “Meditation”, solo violin by the band’s chief Mr. Liu Zhiyun, “Carmen Suite” and “The symphony of Beethoven's fate” the first movement, which are classical and unfailing popularity were played one by one. The excellent performance won waves of warm applauses from the audience.

At the end, “Radetzky March” pushed the whole concert to a climax. Audience couldn’t help beating time with the band and music. Applause and music were full of the great hall. The concert ended successfully in audience excited cheer.
