Journal of Light Industry (ISSN 2096-1553,CN 41-1437/TS) was founded on the basis of the original journal.Original Journal of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry（CN41-1172/TS）was founded in 1986,which was renamed as Journal of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (Natural Science) （CN41-1422/TS）in 2013 and as Journal of Light Industry （CN 41-1437/TS）with the approval of State General Administration of Press，Publication，Radio, Film and Television（SGAPPRFT）in 2015.This title was used from Jan., 2016, with consecutive numbering of the original journal.The Journal is mainly devoted to publishing academic papers that present the latest achievement of scientific research in such fields as food and bioengineering, tobacco science and engineering, material and chemical engineering, electric information and control engineering, electromechanical engineering, and computer science and engineering. The Journal is covered by several famous information retrieval systems and databases, including CA,UPD,  Eh, AJ, FSTA, CSCD, Chinese Scientometric Indicators Database, Chinese Statistical Source Periodical by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Chinese Academic Journal (Comprehensive Evaluation Database),Chinese Core Journals (Selection) Database, Chinese Academic Journal (CD Edition),Chinese Science and Technology Literature Database, Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database. The Journal was consecutively awarded “Chinese Scientific and Technical Core Journal” in 2006,2009,2012 and 2015,“The First-grade Journal in Henan” in 2008,2011,2014 and 2016,“The Top Twenty Nomination Journal in Henan” in 2014,“The High-quality National Science Journal in Henan Universities” in the comprehensive evaluation of journals in Henan universities held by Henan Education Department in 2011,and “Feature Academic Journal in Chinese Universities” by Scientific and Technical Department of Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2014,and “Excellent Scientific and Technical Journal” by Society of China University Journals in Oct.,2016.

 Journal of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (Social Science)(ISSN 1009-3729, CN 41-1312/C) was founded in Feb., 2000 and published bimonthly. The Journal is mainly devoted to publishing academic papers that are of creativeness and present the latest achievement of scientific research in such fields as Marxism and Chinese way, new media and cultural communication, philosophy, politics and administration science, law science, sociology, literature and history, economics and management, art space, foreign languages and cross-cultural communication, etc, in which the former two are key columns. The Journal is covered by several famous information retrieval systems and databases, includingthe Copy Press from Renmin University, CNKI, CHSSCD,VIP, Wanfang Data. , CEPS and Longyuan Journel net. The Journal was consecutively awarded “The High-quality Social Science Journal in Henan Universities” in the comprehensive evaluation of journals in Henan universities held by Henan Education Department in 2011, “The High-quality Social Science Journal in China” in 2006, 2010 and 2014, “The First-grade Journal in Henan” in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2014, and “The Top Twenty Journal in Henan” in 2011 and 2014.
