College of Computer Science and Technology originated from the Computer Teaching and Research Office of the Department of Control Engineering established in 1984. It began admitting vocational students majoring in computer applications in 1985 and undergraduate students majoring in computer applications in 1994. In 1996, it was separated from the Department of Control Engineering to form the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. In 2002, it was renamed the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering. In 2003, the department was abolished and a college was established. In 2014, with the school's expansion of the engineering framework reform, the School of Electronic Information Engineering was established, which shares office space with the School of Computer and Communication Engineering. In 2023, it will be renamed as the School of Computer Science and Technology. For over thirty years, guided by national strategic needs and international academic frontiers, the college has timely updated its teaching content, adjusted its curriculum, revised its training plans, and innovated its educational models, continuously cultivating high-quality, skilled, and innovative computer professionals.
