On the morning of April 30, a delegation from KIU University Sri Lanka visited Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI). An exchange symposium was conducted in a hybrid online-offline format. Dr. Sajeewanie Liyana-Arachchi, Vice Chancellor of KIU University Sri Lanka, attended the meeting online, along with relevant heads from its School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, School of Management, and Graduate School. Representatives from the China Operation Center of KIU University Sri Lanka, as well as relevant heads from ZZULI's International Cooperation and Exchange Department, School of Foreign Languages, School of Economics and Management, and School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, attended in person.

During the symposium, representatives of both sides introduced the basic overview of their respective universities. They held in-depth discussions on topics including "1+2" joint master’s programs in logistics management and cybersecurity, overseas education programs, faculty exchange visits and international Chinese language education, and reached a preliminary intention for cooperation. During their visit, the delegation visited ZZULI's showroom of special achievements and the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence. They spoke highly of ZZULI's school-running features and comprehensive strength, and gained an in-depth understanding of the academic development, faculty resources, training platform construction and talent cultivation models of the proposed partner schools.

This visit laid a solid foundation for international exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. Both universities expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication moving forward. The visit of the delegation from KIU University Sri Lanka presented new opportunities and opened up new channels for ZZULI's substantive cooperation and exchanges with universities in countries of the Belt and Road Initiative, including transnational education and joint postgraduate cultivation. This will also further advance ZZULI's efforts as an international university with distinctive features.
