On the afternoon of September 25, 2025, Mr. Yang Zhongyong, President of Sabah Institute of Art in Malaysia, and his delegation were invited to visit our university. Vice President Zhang Cheng met with the guests in the conference room of the administrative building at Dongfeng Campus, accompanied by Director Tan Honglingand Deputy DirectorMa Qiang, International Cooperation and Exchange Department.

Vice President Zhang Cheng extended a warm welcome to President Yang Zhongyong and his delegation on behalf of our university. He briefly introduced ZZULI's recent development, educational characteristics, and achievements in international cooperation and exchanges, and reviewed the history of collaboration between the two institutions. The two sides engaged in discussions on relevant areas and matters of cooperation, reaching preliminary cooperation intentions in faculty and student exchanges in the arts, the establishment of a joint art and design research institute, and the setup of a Malaysian University English Test (MUET) testing center.

President Yang Zhongyong expressed sincere gratitude for our university's warm hospitality and introduced the development history, program offerings, and talent cultivation of Sabah Institute of Art. President Yang expressed high appreciation for the achievements our university has made in recent years, stating: "Zhengzhou University of Light Industry's disciplinary strengths and internationalized educational philosophy are impressive. We look forward to building a new bridge for China-Malaysia art education through our collaboration within the Belt and Road framework."

Subsequently, President Yang Zhongyong and his delegation visited the IELTS Testing Center at the International Education College and the School of Art and Design, where they held discussions with Dean Wei Hua of the School of Art and Design and relevant program directors.
