Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier, an internationally renowned academic publisher, jointly released the 2025 World's Top 2% Scientists list.

Li Peifeng, Du Miao, Liu Chunsen, He Linghao, Xu Chunping, and Zhang Yonghuifrom our university were recognized on the "Career-long Impact" ranking. Additionally, 31 faculty members, including Wei Shizhong, Fang Shaoming, and Wang Yanfeng, were featured on the "2025 Single-year Impact" ranking, representing the university's key disciplines such as food science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry and chemical engineering, materials science, and artificial intelligence.

The list selects the world's top 2% of scientists from nearly 7 million scientists globally, based on comprehensive metrics including citation counts, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, and citations for publications as sole or first author, spanning 22 fields and 174 subfields. The "Career-long Impact" list evaluates scientists' overall performance throughout their careers, while the "Single-year Impact" list focuses on academic influence over the previous year.

The university's representation on this year's Stanford global top scientists list has reached an all-time high, reflecting our deep research foundation and broad international academic influence in these fields. This achievement underscores the university's sustained commitment to fundamental research, organized collaborative research, interdisciplinary integration, and investment in young talent development and team building, all of which have provided strong support for our disciplinary development and degree program expansion.
