On the afternoon of March 5, the International Cooperation and Exchange Department convened a coordination meeting on teaching affairs for the AY 2025-2026 semester 2 at Dongfeng Road Campus of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI). Participants included all international faculty, liaison officers from relevant schools, and staff of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department.
At the meeting, Han Fang, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, briefed the international faculty on ZZULI’s development achievements in 2025 and the key tasks planned for 2026. She also commended two long-serving foreign teachers for their outstanding performance, fully affirming their proactive contributions to teaching innovation and cultural exchange. To further improve the management of international faculty, the Department is currently drawing upon ZZULI’s existing evaluation methods for outstanding teachers to develop an annual recognition scheme specifically for international faculty. This scheme aims to standardize the selection process, effectively motivate international faculty, and advance teaching excellence.
During the professional exchange session, staff from the Department first delivered a presentation on the Chinese laws, regulations, and university policies that foreign personnel are required to comply with. Subsequently, feedback and discussions were conducted regarding the teaching evaluations from the previous semester, and specific arrangements for teaching tasks in the current semester were outlined. In addition, liaison officers from various colleges engaged closely with international faculty to discuss class situations and teaching plans, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth progression of subsequent teaching activities.
The International Cooperation and Exchange Department will continue to uphold the principle of “balancing management with service.” With a focus on institutional innovation, the Department will strive to enhance the service and support mechanisms for international faculty, enrich cultural exchange activities, and further advance the university’s internationalization.
