


From July 12 to 13, the finals of the 9th Yu Wang Cup Network Security Competition were successfully held at ZZULI.
The competition, hosted by the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee and the Education Department of Henan Province, and organized by our university, brought together participants from 369 colleges and universities across 28 provinces, totaling over 18,000 contestants—a new record for the event. The finals focused on practical operations in “emergency response + real-network penetration + security defense.” After intense competition, 65 teams won first prize, 95 teams won second prize, and 107 teams won third prize. Concurrent with the competition, the 2025 National Digital Literacy and Skills Enhancement Month Event—the Yu Wang Forum—was held. During the event, experts and scholars from colleges and research institutions, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and the Cloud Computing and Big Data Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, engaged in discussions and exchanges with participating faculty and students on cybersecurity in the education system, artificial intelligence applications, and security infrastructure development.
A number of leaders attended the competition, including Zhang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university; Wei Shizhong, President of the university; Gan Yong, President of the Research Association of Computer Education in Colleges and Universities of Henan Province and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhengzhou Institute of Technology; Wang Xinjie, President of the Henan Education Informatization Association; Hu Chuanping, Chairman of the Henan Cyberspace Security Association; and Cheng Guanglin, Chairman of the Henan Province Cyberspace Security Profession Integration Community of Industry and Education and President of Henan Institute of Economics and Trade.
