From August 16 to 19, the on-site national finals of the 5th National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, guided by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and hosted by the China Association of Higher Education, were held at Beijing Institute of Technology.
Three teacher teams from our university, representing Henan Province, delivered excellent performances. The team led by Sun Yamei won first prize in the Mid-Level and Below Professional Titles Group in New Liberal Arts; the team led by Jiang Suxia won second prize in the Senior Professional Titles Group in New Engineering; and the team led by Cheng Chuanxiao won second prize in the Industry-Education Integration Group for Local Colleges. In addition, our university received the “Excellent Organization Award for Participating Colleges.” Both the level and the number of awards represent the best results our university has achieved since participating in this contest, marking a historic dual breakthrough.
This remarkable achievement reflects our university’s long-standing commitment to advancing teaching reform and promoting innovation in faculty teaching. Taking this contest as a new starting point, our university will summarize experiences and build on the momentum to further inspire faculty to engage in innovative teaching practices, continuously enhance the quality of talent cultivation, and contribute more to the high-quality development of higher education.
