Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the fourth batch of “National Huang Danian-Style Teacher Teams.” The Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control Teacher Team, led by Professor Wang Yonghua, was successfully selected, marking our university’s first-ever breakthrough in establishing a national-level teacher team.
Rooted in Central China for four decades, the team has been guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and inspired by the spirit of Huang Danian—“with selflessness at heart and utmost devotion to serving the nation.” It focuses on major national strategic needs as well as local economic and social development, remaining steadfast in its original mission of cultivating talent for the Communist Party of China and nurturing professionals for the nation. Adhering to the educational philosophy of “valuing both character and talent, and advancing both virtue and knowledge,” the team has fully integrated the core task of “fostering virtue through education” into every stage of its development. It has also achieved significant breakthroughs in key technologies, including ultra-high-voltage intelligent equipment and high-efficiency lightweight motors. These research and development achievements have supported the growth of a hundred-billion-level industrial cluster in the Central Plains Electrical Valley. High-voltage motor technology has advanced from “following” to “leading,” while the full-process MES system for the textile industry has been adopted in over 20 provinces, driving the industry’s digital transformation.
