On the morning of June 10, the opening ceremony for the 2025 "Love at ZZULI" Central Plains Culture Experience Camp hosted by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI) successfully kicked off at the Kexue Campus. Zhang Cheng, Vice President of ZZULI, as well as representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and other related departments, attended the ceremony. The event also welcomed 25 students and faculty members from eight universities across seven countries, including Italy, Spain, Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Iraq, along with ZZULI student volunteers.

In his welcome address, Vice President Zhang Cheng gave a brief presentation on ZZULI. He highlighted that embracing an international outlook, ZZULI's ongoing commitment to open education has seen fruitful results in global collaboration and exchange over the past few years. Moving forward, ZZULI will continue to provide more multicultural exchange platforms and foster deeper connections among young people from China and abroad. He also offered a preview of the marvelous camp, inviting participants to gain pleasure, insights, and experiences from this cultural journey, and to share their sweet memories of Henan with young friends around the world.

Student representatives, both local and international, respectively introduced their own countries and universities, shared campus life and interests, and expressed their excitement and anticipation for the cultural journey ahead.

Following the ceremony, participants toured the campus and the School of Electronics and Information. Over the next ten days, they will engage with Chinese language, Henan Opera, and intangible cultural heritage crafts at ZZULI. They will also visit the ancient capitals including Kaifeng, Luoyang, and Anyang, thereby boosting cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Through immersive cultural experiences, students will gain a firsthand understanding of the central China' profound history and dynamic vitality, discovering the unique charm of Chinese civilization that embraces both tradition and modernity.
