


On the morning of June 21, the Double Degree Awarding Ceremony for 2024 Graduates of the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program in Food Science and Engineering kicked off in the auditorium on the Dongfeng Campus of ZZULI. It was attended by Emanuele Tondi, Vice President of the University of Camerino, Zhang Cheng, Vice President of ZZULI, and heads of relevant functional departments and colleges. Attendees also included the representatives of faculty members of the International Education College, teachers and students involved in the program, and parents of the graduates.
Zhang Cheng extended his congratulations to the 2024 double-degree graduates majoring in Food Science and Engineering of the International Education College. On behalf of ZZULI, he expressed thanks to the teachers and students for working together to successfully address the challenges they faced over the past four years, thereby ensuring the smooth progress of the program. Furthermore, he commended the students for their courage, perseverance, and outstanding performance. He expected the students to adhere to the university motto of nothing is too difficult for the willing mind, strive to be aspiring, pioneering, open-minded, and innovative, and live up to their youth and passion to realize dreams.
Emanuele Tondi fondly looked back on the remarkable achievements and the profound friendship between the two universities over the four years of cooperation. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the inaugural batch of students for their successful graduation, wishing the students continuous growth on a splendid life journey.
Representatives of teachers and students also delivered speeches. They recalled the close cooperation between Chinese and Italian teachers, along with the learning, growth, and harvest over the past four years.
Finally, the 2024 graduates who received the Sino-Italian double degrees went onto the stage in turn. Zhang Cheng turned the tassels for them and awarded the Chinese degree certificates to them, and Tondi presented the students with the Italian degree declaration documents and conferred the emblem of the University of Camerino. The attendees, including participating leaders, teachers, and graduates, took a group photo to mark the occasion. This milestone event marks the first Sino-foreign double degree awarding ceremony since the establishment of ZZULI.
Since 2020, ZZULI has cooperated with the University of Camerino in organizing the undergraduate cooperation program in Food Science and Engineering. During the past four years, the two universities have deepened cooperation and mutual trust, intensified the academic exchanges, and boosted the talent cultivation quality. The number of the inaugural batch of graduates in the program in 2024 is 100 in total. Up to now, more than 30 graduates have received admission letters from well-known universities at home and abroad, such as University College London (QS Ranking No. 9), University of Melbourne (QS Ranking No. 13), University of Sydney (QS Ranking No. 20), South China University of Technology, and Ocean University of China. They are about to start their study at the master's degree level.
