Delegation from QUT Visits ZZULI

A seven-member delegation led by Prof. Ana Deletic, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), paid a goodwill visit to ZZULI on May 28. Prof. Zhou Liming, Vice President of ZZULI, met with the guests. Attendees included responsible persons from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, College of Material and Chemical Engineering, College of Energy and Power Engineering, College of Computer Science and Technology, and College of Building Environment Engineering.

On behalf of ZZULI, Zhou Liming extended a warm welcome to Prof. Ana Deletic and her delegation and made a brief introduction to the history, specialties and discipline development of ZZULI and what the university has achieved in international cooperation and exchange. He stated that the QUT boasts multiple disciplines including material and chemical engineering, new energy, AI, building environment and mechanical manufacturing, which are highly compatible with the disciplines dominant in ZZULI, thus the two universities enjoy great potential for cooperation. He expressed his expectation that the two universities would deepen their cooperation in terms of exchanges of teachers, student programs, and scientific research cooperation, jointly promoting the diversified and all-round cooperation between the two universities.

Ana Deletic expressed her appreciation for the results that ZZULI has made in international cooperation and exchange, discipline development, scientific research and student training. On behalf of the QUT, she gave a brief account of the QUT Faculty of Engineering, its advantages of disciplines and international exchange programs, and expressed the willingness and expectation for promoting joint undergraduate and graduate programs and exchanges and cooperation of teachers between the two universities.

On the same day, the delegation also visited the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall and experienced the making of rubbings in the Library Exhibition Hall with great interest in fascinating Chinese culture.
