ZZULI Holds a High Relief Rubbings Art Boutique Special Exhibition

On May 18, Inheriting the Past and Expanding the New - Renqing Li's High Relief Rubbings Art Boutique Special Exhibition was opened in Yifu Library, Kexue Campus, ZZULI. More than 200 students and teachers from ZZULI attended the opening ceremony.

At the event, Renqing Li shared his journey of the creation and his profound understanding of art and expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers for their warm invitation and careful organization. Subsequently, the leaders and guests jointly cut the ribbon for the Renqing Li's High Relief Rubbings Art Boutique Special Exhibition and announced the formal opening of the event. Renqing Museum staff guided the teachers and students to experience rubbing activities, make rubbings by themselves, and enjoy the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage skills.

The exhibition runs from May 18 to 28. More than 60 works will be on display. Through this event, teachers and students will experience the charm of ancient sculpture art and rubbing art and gain a deeper understanding of the Yellow River culture and the story of the Central Plains.

 

Expert introduction: Renqing Li is a national-level tutor of ancient books restoration techniques and inheritor of intangible cultural heritage of the High Relief Rubbing Skills. From 2008 to now, many news media have made reports on the high relief rubbing, including CCTV, HNTV-6, ZZTV-1, Xinhua News Agency, Xinhua Net, China Culture Daily, China News Service, Outlook, Chinese National Geography, as well as the news media in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. In 2016, he was awarded the honorary title Craftsman of the Nation by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and China Media Group.
