On April 16, a four-member delegation headed by Ms. De Nemesker Györgyi, Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Óbuda University, Hungary, paid a friendly visit to ZZULI upon invitation. Prof. Bai Yanhong, Vice President of ZZULI, met with the guests at the VIP room in the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Attendees included responsible persons from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the International Education College.

Bai Yanhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation’s visit on behalf of ZZULI. She briefed ZZULI’s development in discipline construction, talent cultivation, international cooperation and exchanges, and other aspects in recent years, highlighting that the cooperative education program jointly filed by the two universities last September has gained the affirmation and recommendation of the Education Department of Henan Province, and has been reported to the Ministry of Education for approval. She also stated that Óbuda University boasts outstanding strength in multiple disciplines including computer science, engineering, and materials, which are highly compatible with the disciplines traditionally dominant in ZZULI, thus the two universities enjoy great potential for cooperation. She expressed her expectation that the two universities would deepen their cooperation in terms of cooperative school running, mutual visits and exchanges of teachers and students, joint cultivation of postgraduate students, and cooperation in teaching and scientific research of faculty members, thereby jointly promoting the diversified and all-round development and cooperation between the two universities.

On behalf of Óbuda University, Director De Nemesker Györgyi conveyed her gratitude for ZZULI’s warm reception, and also made a brief introduction to the recent development of Óbuda University. She highly appreciated the cooperation between the two universities in various fields and expected more fruitful results from the cooperation between the two universities.

After the meeting, the delegation paid visits to the key laboratories of the School of Computer Science and Technology and the College of Material and Chemical Engineering successively. It also communicated with the heads of the School and the College in depth, and reached consensus on short-term inter-academic exchange programs, joint master’s and doctoral training, scientific research cooperation, and teachers' lectures. Besides, the delegation visited ZZULI’s library, and commented highly on the achievements of the university in the fields of food, machinery, electricity, chemical industry, and design, among others.

The visit of this delegation represents another face-to-face in-depth exchange after last year’s visit of our delegation to the Óbuda University, further enhancing the acquaintance and understanding of each other. The two sides will join hands to further promote Sino-Hungarian educational and cultural exchanges, and cultivate more application-oriented international talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills.
