Delegation from Macquarie University Visits ZZULI

On March 8, a three-member delegation headed by Aman Maung Than Oo, Dean of Engineering at Macquarie University, paid a friendly visit to ZZULI upon invitation. Prof. Bai Yanhong, Vice President of ZZULI, met with the guests in the VIP room of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Attendees included responsible persons from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, the College of New Energy, and the College of Energy and Power Engineering.

Bai Yanhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation’s visit on behalf of ZZULI. She briefed ZZULI’s development in discipline construction, talent cultivation, international cooperation and exchanges, and other aspects in recent years. She also stated that as a well-known university in Australia, Macquarie University boasts outstanding strength in multiple disciplines including engineering, materials, and finance. Furthermore, ZZULI features distinctive engineering characteristics and advantages, thus the two universities have immense potential for cooperation. She expected the two universities to give full play to their advantages in relevant disciplines and establish friendly and cooperative relations, jointly promoting each other’s diversified and all-round development.

On behalf of Macquarie University, Dean Aman Oo expressed his gratitude for ZZULI’s warm reception. He spoke highly of ZZULI’s efforts in mutual cooperation and exchanges. He then shared the basic information about the School of Engineering at Macquarie University and its recent school-running achievements. During the delegation’s visit, he hoped to carry out cooperation with ZZULI in aspects including joint doctoral training and two-way exchanges between teachers and students.

After the meeting, the delegation paid visits to the College of Energy and Power Engineering, the College of New Energy, the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, and the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, successively. They conducted in-depth discussions with relevant responsible persons, and reached initial cooperation intentions on such fields as exchanges between teachers and students and scientific research cooperation in intelligent manufacturing of advanced materials, renewable energy, new energy power, and IoT engineering. Both sides expressed their willingness to work together to open a new chapter of inter-university exchanges and cooperation.
