On November 28, a delegation led by Prof. Franciscus Vonken, President of Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Fontys) in the Netherlands, paid a goodwill visit to ZZULI upon invitation. Prof. Wei Shizhong, President of ZZULI, met with the guests in the VIP room of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Kexue Campus. Attendees included responsible persons from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office) and the International Education College, as well as those of relevant cooperative programs.

Wei Shizhong extended a warm welcome to the Fontys delegation and thanked them for the warm hospitality received during his visit to the Fontys in May this year. He spoke highly of the Fontys' teaching philosophy of being close to students, course projects geared towards industrial applications and development, and teaching methods that combine specialized theory with practice. He stated that since the inception of the software engineering cooperative education program between ZZULI and Fontys in 2021, teachers from both universities have made concerted efforts to meticulously organize teaching activities and actively face challenges, ensuring the smooth running of the program and the training of students bearing fruit. He also hoped that through the visit, the delegation would gain a more comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ZZULI. By cooperative education programs, he expected to promote and expand the cooperation between the two universities at more levels, including student-teacher communication and scientific research cooperation.

On behalf of Fontys, Franciscus Vonken expressed his appreciation and thanks for the preliminary efforts made by ZZULI. He was full of expectations for this visit and hoped that the two universities would strengthen substantive cooperation in more areas in the future to maintain a long-standing friendship.

After the meeting, accompanied by relevant responsible persons of the College of Software Engineering and the International Education College, the delegation visited the College of Software Engineering and had a preliminary understanding of the college. The delegation then visited ZZULI's showroom of scientific achievements.
