The Henan New Energy Power System Engineering Technology Research Center was approved for establishment in February 2023. With the goal of promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements and achieving high-tech industrialization, the engineering center focuses on the two core issues of stable operation and intelligent maintenance of the power system and efficient and reliable access to new energy, and conducts in-depth research on related technologies of new energy as the main body of the new power system, The construction plan mainly includes four key areas: operation and control of new energy power systems, control of new energy grid connected converters, fault diagnosis of power equipment, and intelligent operation and maintenance of power equipment. The center combines the engineering and technological needs of industries and enterprises, strives to build and improve platforms related to the research and development of new technologies in the power system, continuously improves the center's technological innovation ability, and grasps and develops core technologies and advantageous products that meet market demands.
The center has a total of 45 people, all of whom are full-time researchers, including 7 professors, 14 associate professors, and 41 doctoral students, accounting for 91% of the total number. A talent pool with reasonable age, educational background, and professional titles has been formed.
The laboratory has a total area of approximately 1500 square meters for scientific research and office space, with over 20 sets of large-scale experimental instruments and equipment, with a total value of over 20 million yuan. This includes a 5kVA simulated generator set, a power system stability analysis and calculation simulation system, and an online monitoring system for oil chromatography.
In terms of achievement transformation, there are currently 8 achievements that have been transformed, and the relevant achievements have been applied to enterprises such as State Grid Henan Electric Power Company Zhumadian Power Supply Company, Sanmenxia Power Supply Company, and Henan Longxiang Electric Co., Ltd., with significant economic and social benefits.
The Engineering Center focuses on the research of new power system stability, safety, and reliable operation related technologies, striving to become an advanced technology platform that integrates scientific research and development, equipment integration, engineering demonstration, service consulting, talent cultivation, international cooperation, and other functions. Guided by the market and based on user needs, it breaks through technical difficulties in power grid operation and establishes a leading domestic research and development team, To apply the scientific research achievements of the center in key projects, promote the development of industries such as new energy generation, power equipment manufacturing, and power operation and maintenance while promoting technological progress in the industry. In response to the phenomenon of some power equipment being monopolized by foreign enterprises, the Engineering Center will carry out scientific and technological research in key areas, improve the level of independent innovation, and enhance the competitiveness of domestic equipment.
