ZZULI leaders greeted the delegation from Oakland University

President Wei Shizhong and Louay M. Chamra, Dean of School of Engineering and Computer Science at Oakland University, jointly showed the permit for Chinese-foreign cooperation in running a school

The delegation from Oakland University visited the Working Site of ZZULI’s Smart Car Track Room

At the invitation of ZZULI, a delegation led by Louay M. Chamra,Dean of School of Engineering and Computer Science at Oakland University, paid a friendly visit to ZZULI on October 18. President Wei Shizhong and Vice President Bai Yanhong greeted the guests at the VIP room in the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Attendees also included relevant responsible persons and staff from International Cooperation and Exchange Department and International Education College.

President Wei Shizhong extended his welcome to the delegation’s visit on behalf of ZZULI. He retrospected the cooperation between the two universities in recent years, and recognized the achievements made in terms of student-teacher communication, scientific research cooperation, and joint Ph.D. program. He stated that ZZULI places high emphasis on the cooperation and exchanges with Oakland University. Particularly since the approval of the establishment of ZZULI-OU Intelligent Engineering Joint Institute, ZZULI has spared no effort in building a teaching management team and integrating the educational and teaching resources, so as to ensure the institute’s smooth enrollment next year and its healthy and sustainable development. He sincerely hoped that this visit can further open a new chapter for cooperation and development between the two universities.

On behalf of Oakland University, Louay M. Chamra expressed his gratitude for ZZULI’s efforts in mutual cooperation and exchanges between the two universities. He expected that this visit would facilitate further determination on details about running ZZULI-OU Intelligent Engineering Joint Institute, so as to lay a solid foundation for the all-round and in-depth cooperation between the two universities.

After the meeting, the delegation conducted detailed discussions with relevant responsible persons from International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Finance Office, and ZZULI-OU Intelligent Engineering Joint Institute, and inspected foreign teachers’ apartments and relevant laboratories. The delegation also paid a visit to ZZULI-OU Intelligent Engineering Joint Institute, School of Computer Science and Technology, College of Electrical and Information Engineering, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, during which in-depth communication with responsible persons of these colleges was carried out and agreements on undergraduate intercollegiate exchange program were signed.
