On August 21, the Launch Ceremony of Major Special Project for the Key Technologies and Industrialization of Functional Biodegradable Materials and Products & New Materials Project Roadshow hosted by ZZULI and co-organized by Donghua University, Zhongyuan University of Technology, Henan Jindan Lactic Acid Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Tuoren Best Medical Devices Co., Ltd., Henan KeGao Radiation Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., and the Wutong Park Operation Center of the Administration Committee of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, was successfully held at Zhengzhou Ximei Building.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including Zhu Meifang, Chief Scientist of ZZULI Research Institute of Industrial Technology, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Head of the Major Special Project; Tao Manxi, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province; He Jiwei, Division Chief, and Wang Ting, Deputy Division Chief of Resources, Environment, and Social Affairs of the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province; Ren Can, Second-level Researcher of Zhengzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; Wang Demin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; Chen Jinge, General Manager of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industry Investment Group; Wei Shizhong, President of ZZULI; Zhang Xiao, Vice President of ZZULI; and representatives from Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Zhengzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and the Wutong Park Operation Center of the Administration Committee of Zhengzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the leading unit of the project, ZZULI Research Institute of Industrial Technology, and cooperative units such as Henan Jindan Lactic Acid Technology Co., Ltd., Donghua University, Zhongyuan University of Technology, Henan Tuoren Best Medical Devices Co., Ltd., and Henan KeGao Radiation Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.

The event was chaired by Zhang Xiao. Wei Shizhong delivered a speech on behalf of the event's host. He introduced the university's basic information and highlighted the achievements in talent cultivation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and result transformation. He expressed gratitude for the trust and support of leaders at all levels for the university and the research institute. Wei Shizhong emphasized that the launch of this major project is an important initiative to implement university-enterprise cooperation and conduct external exchanges. It serves as an effective means to leverage resource complementarity, strengthen scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between our university, other universities, and enterprises, and it acts as an important platform for friendly interaction between university research scholars and enterprise engineering technicians.

In the future, the university will continue to strongly support the research institute in the successful execution and realization of the project. The goal is to provide scientific and technological support to more enterprises, promote the industrialization of more innovative achievements, and contribute to the economic development of the region and industry.
