From July 18-19, the 2023 Academic Annual Conference of the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent System Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society & the 6th Academic Conference on Big Data Driven Intelligent Manufacturing was successfully held. This Conference was hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and organized by the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent System Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, Henan Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of Mechanical Equipment. More than 350 experts, scholars and industry elites from over 100 domestic and foreign universities and enterprises gathered in Zhengzhou to discuss and exchange the latest technologies, research achievements and development trends in the field of industrial big data and intelligent system. Professor Wei Shizhong, President of ZZULI, attended the Conference and gave the opening speech.

During the Conference, eight experts delivered keynote speeches, including Professor Li Peigen and Professor Yang Huayong, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor Shen Weiming, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering; Professor Mark Girolami, an academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK; Professor Liu Chengliang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Professor Tao Fei from Beihang University. In addition, six experts were invited to give special reports on big data driven intelligent manufacturing, including Professor Shen Bin from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Professor Liu Jie from Hunan University. The report session for paper presentations has seven venues, where 113 young scholars from across the country gave academic reports on frontier research in industrial big data, and was moderated by nine experts, including Professor Liu Jianhua from Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Wang Junqiang from Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Professor Li Weihua from South China University of Technology. After the Conference, the participating experts visited the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Henan Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of Mechanical Equipment, and highly praised the construction of the laboratory.

The theme of the Conference was “Industrial Transformation and Upgrading of Industrial Big Data Driven Equipment Manufacturing”. It brought together experts and scholars from various fields such as industrial big data, industrial internet and intelligent system. The Conference provided an interactive platform for discussions on new methods, technologies and practical applications of the industrial big data driven intelligent manufacturing. All participants actively got involved in academic discussions and expressed great appreciation for the benefits they gained and highly praised the conference services. The Conference enhanced the reputation and influence of ZZULI’s mechanical engineering discipline, and promoted in-depth exchanges and collaborations between universities and enterprises.
