On November 15, Clarivate Analytics revealed the Highly Cited Researchers 2022 List, in which 6,938 scholars from 69 countries and regions and 1,169 scholars from the Chinese mainland have been listed. ZZULI’s Prof. Du Miao has been included in Highly Cited Researchers in the interdisciplinary field, which is the first time for ZZULI’s faculty members. Nine scholars from five universities in Henan Province, including Zhengzhou University, Henan University, Henan Normal University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, and Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, have been listed.
The Highly Cited Researchers List is prepared based on the analysis and evaluation of papers in 22 disciplines of ESI natural science and social science in the past decade, and the statistics on the rankings of papers among top 1% in non-self citation frequency in the corresponding fields in the same year. The inclusion in Highly Cited Researchers List indicates that a scholar has the world-class influence in his/her research field, with scientific research achievements making great contributions to the development of the field; the scholar has published many papers with a high citation frequency, and the citation frequency ranks the top 1% of the same discipline.
In recent years, ZZULI has highly valued the discipline construction and strengthened the interdisciplinary integration based on predominant and characteristic disciplines. It has established ZZULI Research Institute of Quantum Technology, ZZULI Research Institute of New Energy Technology, and other interdisciplinary research platforms, to facilitate the first-class academic achievements through scientific research and innovation. With efforts of ZZULI, its four disciplines, i.e., Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Agricultural Science, are listed among the top 1% of ESI worldwide, with the quantity of disciplines selected ranking 6th in Henan Province. The inclusion in Highly Cited Researchers indicates that ZZULI’s scholars have certain international influence in their research fields, and reflects the significant development of ZZULI in natural science research, playing a positive role in promoting the construction of a high-level core university with distinctive characteristics.
Having long been engaged in the research of molecular-based crystalline materials, Prof. Du Miao’s research group has improved the design strategies and synthesis technologies of molecular-based crystalline materials, developed a series of new porous molecular-based crystalline and composite materials, and expounded the structural regulation and transformation law and the structure-performance relationship, further expanding the applications of such materials in energy, catalysis, environmental protection, detection and other fields. More than 240 papers written based on its research achievements have been published in Q1 and Q2 journals such as Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., with the SCI citation frequency of more than 19,000 times (H-index: 76), and 16 papers have been selected in ESI hot papers and highly cited papers. Prof. Du Miao has been consecutively selected in Highly Cited Chinese Researchers from 2014 to 2021.
