On September 24, the Summit Forum on Innovation and Development of Advanced Materials Manufacturing, hosted by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province and organized by ZZULI, was successfully held in Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. As one of the five summit forums held in the 5th China (Henan) Talent Recruitment & Project Matchmaking Event for Innovation and Development, this Summit Forum is designed to anchor the “two assurances”, and deepen the implementation of the “ten strategies” with “innovation-driven development, prospering the province with science and education, and strengthening the province through talent cultivation” as the priority, so as to assist Henan Province in building a national innovation highland and a nationwide important talent center. Thirteen outstanding experts and scholars from the advanced materials manufacturing industry at home and abroad, including fellows, Changjiang Scholars, and winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, were invited to participate in forum activities to discuss the innovation and development of advanced materials manufacturing together, aiming to improve the abilities in both sci-tech innovation and guidance on high-end industries, and promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
The forum activities before noon, chaired by Vice President Wang Yanfeng, were held in Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Huang Rongjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZZULI, President Wei Shizhong, and Vice President Jing Hui attended the forum. Wang Yanfeng delivered a welcome address on behalf of ZZULI, extending greetings and thanks and briefing the development of ZZULI in recent years to the participants. Distinguished Professor Alan Kin Tak Lau, disciplinary leader of ZZULI, Fellow of European Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, made an academic report entitled Recent Composite Materials Research and Digital Manufacturing; Distinguished Professor Subhash Rakhej, disciplinary leader of ZZULI, one of the first members of National Key Talents Program, and Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering, made an academic report entitled Research Activities in Safety Dynamics of Vehicles & Magneto-Active Intelligent Materials; and Mao Xinping, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered an academic report entitled Dual Carbon Vision and Technology Roadmap of the Steel Industry in China. In the afternoon, the experts were invited to attend the academic exchanges held in Kexue Campus and Dongfeng Campus of ZZULI.
