Mainly engaged in basic theory research, key technology research and technology development related to UWB wireless communication technology, such as UWB indoor localization algorithm, design of UWB microstrip antenna miniaturization, UWB signal waves propagation prediction, array signal processing, integrated navigation positioning, intelligent robot navigation and positioning, short distance wireless communication and so on. The research focuses on the core theory and scientific and technological problems based on UWB, including UWB indoor positioning, multi-source information fusion positioning, intelligent sensors, etc.

The academician workstation has a full-time and part-time technology development, system integration and engineering team with professors, doctors and masters. There are 26 team members, among whom 16 are associate professors or above and 20 have doctor's degree. The average age of team members are 40 years old, which has formed a talent team with reasonable structure of knowledge, age, educational background and professional title.

The center of scientific research and office space area of 760 square meters, with large experimental instruments and equipment more than 20 sets of equipment more than 800 ten thousand yuan, the team have radio waves propagation measurement platform, radio frequency microwave test platform, wireless positioning platform, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the robot navigation and positioning algorithm validation platform or GPS/Beidou positioning device and so on, Provide test sharing service for enterprises inside and outside the province.

The team carried out in-depth academician cooperation, gave full play to the role of academicians and their teams, carried out scientific research and innovation activities, strengthened the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, took advantage of the advantages of academician workstations, strengthened communication and consultation with academicians, promoted the rapid development of scientific research, promoted the organic combination of production, learning and research, and improved the ability of scientific and technological innovation. It has carried out industry-university-research project cooperation with Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Henan University of Technology, Zhengzhou Locaris Co., LTD., Zhengzhou Zhongduo Technology Development Co.,Ltd., And Zhengzhou Credad Software Co., LTD., effectively combined basic innovation with application innovation, promoted the transformation and implementation of scientific research achievements of colleges and universities, and served local economic construction.
