Advanced Materials Preparation and Mechanical Testing Techniques Innovation Team

       1. Introduction:

       “Advanced Materials Preparation and Mechanical Testing Techniques” Innovation Team is built on the based of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering Institute and key Henan provincial level laboratory cultivation base of Digital manufacturing. The research field of the team is on the design, development, preparation, performance testing technology and application of advanced materials. The aim is to meet the demand of advanced manufacturing and high strength, high stiffness, high toughness, high plasticity, high corrosion resistance materials for new technologies, new industries and new industries. The team has a series of scientific research achievements in the fields of new type of metal matrix composites, intermetallic compound high temperature structural materials, rigid ceramic materials and polymer materials, preparation, performance test and application. The team has successively undertaken more than 20 national and provincial scientific research projects, published more than 300 scientific papers, and obtained more than 30 science and technology awards above provincial departmental level and more than 10 national patents.


       2. Team members

       The leader of the team is Pro. Liu Jianxiu. There are 17 members in the team. It is about 6 professors, 5 associate professors and 13 Ph. D.. The major members are as follows: Li Yuwen(Pro.), Ji Lianqing(Pro.), Gao Hongxia(Pro.),  Zhang Dehai(PhD), Zhang Duangqin(PhD), Wang Hui(PhD), Wang Mingyi(PhD), Fan Jianglei(PhD), Tian Shuxia(PhD), Wang Shengyong(PhD), Xie Guizhong(PhD).


       3. Research Fields:

       The team devoted to the development of advanced materials and applications. The main research fields are as follows: (1) Preparation of advanced materials and forming process control, (2) Mechanics performance test and evaluation of advanced materials, (3) Friction/wear and surface technology, (4) Impact resistance performance of metal base material under high pressure.


       4. Achievements:

       The team has successively undertaken more than 20 national and provincial scientific research projects. The team has been successfully developed for high-speed train brake shoe of copper base powder metallurgy materials. The wear resistance of Ni - P/SiC mould is improved by chemical composite plating surface treatment technology. The team has developed the silicon carbide whisker reinforced magnesium matrix composites used in wind power brake. The crystal orientation evolution rules for directionally solidified TiAl alloy is undertaken preliminary, which provides a theoretical supports for the preparation of directional solidification TiAl alloy blade material. The team has published more than 300 scientific papers (150 SCI/EI papers), obtained more than 30 science and technology awards above provincial departmental level and more than 10 national patents.
