Introduction to the Master’s Degree of

Building Electrical and Intelligence

The subject, a second-grade one, is a master's degree authorization discipline affiliated to Electrical Engineering, a first-grade subject. As a multidisciplinary and applied discipline, it’s developed to meet the social needs, which focuses on power system, control system and information processing system based on artificial architectural environment.

Integrated deeply with building industry, the subject covers knowledge and skills of building power supply and lightingbuilding automation and controlconstruction of public security technologysignal and information processing, power quality analysis and monitoring, building energy efficiency and other related fields. Come so farthe master’s degree of building electrical and intelligence is the first authorization discipline in Henan Province. The graduates are in great need and their prospects are bright.

20 teachers are in service now, among which there are 11 associate professors or higher and 5 with a doctorate degree. The main research areas are: building electricity and energy saving technology, building intelligence and system integration technology, building fire science and technology, etc.


Intelligent power supply engineering

    This course introduces intelligent power supply system of intelligent building. It Includes power supply scheme, electricity saving measures, design, production, power cable laying, communication network system installation, power supply and distribution monitoring system installation and other related projects such as how to deal with the relationship between the strong and weak current.

Introduction to Fire Science

The course teaches the basic knowledge of fire science, introduces the basic theory of fire burning. It gives analysis to the smoke movement and control, fire detection and automatic fire extinguishing, building fire resistance and flame-retardant, computer simulation technology principle, and the safety of personnel and application in fire. Fire prevention thoughts, techniques, and methods are introduced.



                          Fire Safety Engineering

This course includes the basic knowledge of building fire occurrence and development, the fire prevention methods and techniques like the fire-resistive grade, fire compartment and smoke bay of buildings, safe evacuation, the fire detection methods and techniques like the fire alarm equipment and the automatic fire alarm system, etc. The fire extinguishing methods and techniques such as the fire extinguishing agent and the automatic fire extinguishing system are introduced. Finally this paper briefly introduces the basic methods of explosive type and explosion prevention.



 The System Integration of Intelligent Building

The course systematically introduces the composition and the management of the intelligent building system. The application of each sub-system and the correlation between each other are introduced in detail. The design scheme, installation method, engineering test and acceptance, and other related knowledge of the generic cables system are given a lecture. Finally, the computer management system of the intelligent building system has been carried on with the detailed introduction.


Intelligent Building Sensors and information processing

  With the system applications and functional requirements as the main line, this course respectively introduced the various types of sensors and new system solutions of the five areas of Intelligent Building, which included energy, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), information and the transmission, safety and security, maintenance and facilities management, system technology; introduced the principles and methods for processing the relevant information.


Intelligent Building Environment Science

Based on analyzing and understanding the building light environment as hot and humid environment, acoustic environment, safe environment and living environment, this course introduced the modern science and technologies as information technology, automatic control technology, computer technology, communication technology, in order to create and control a safe, efficient, convenient, energy saving, environmentally friendly and healthy building environment, and exercise students' comprehensive application ability.
