Measurement technology and Instrument

Measurement technology and instrument belongs to instrument science and technology in grade-two subjectsit requires the learners to master theory and element of practice in the related fields of measurement technology, follow the development direction of disciplinary field and the trend of relevant industries, has the ability to  engage in scientific research of related fields ,engineering practice and other aspects, with the scientific research and technical development of organization and management ability, and master a foreign language. At present, the subject includes four research directions: The sensing technology and measurement and control system, intelligence instrument, inertial navigation and control technology, broadband communication and microwave / RF testing technology.Currently, there are 12 full-time teachers, including 4 Associate professor and professors, 10 teachers with doctoral degree.

We have presided over 10 state projects, 16 provincial projects, 70 transverse projects, won the provincial science and technology achievement awards 21 and obtained the 4 national patents, 1 utility model patents. We also published more than 200 papers, more than 40 of which have been indexed by SCI/EI, as well as 4 books.



2 Instrument engineering

Instrument engineering, associated with a professional degree for the engineering qualifications, focuses on cultivating innovative, practical and versatile professionals in high-level engineering technology and supervision where requires solid basic knowledge, sound qualities and high engineering practice ability. At present, instrument engineering aims at four research orientations as follows: The sensing technology and measurement and control system, intelligence instrument, inertial navigation and control technology, broadband communication and microwave / RF testing technology. Currently, there are 12 full-time teachers, including 4 Associate professor and professors, 10 teachers with doctorial degree.

They have presided over 10 projects at the national level, 16 projects at provincial department level, 70 projects completed with the cooperation of other social communities. We have obtained 21 scientific and technological achievements rewards at provincial department level, 4 national invention patents, and 1 utility model patent. We have published more than 200 articles, more than 40 of which have been included in SCI/EI catalogue, as well as 4 books.


Courses offered in this Program are as follows:


Random signal analysis and application

In the field of instrument science and electrical engineering technologythe signal which is collected and processed usually has the characteristics of randomness. The random signal analysis and application mainly introduces the method of analyzing and processing random signal, This course is a professional basic course for masters who study on instrument science and technology or related majors.



Error theory and data processing

Error theory and data processing involving static/dynamic measurements of scientific experiments and engineering practices are provided with this course, and its content includes basic property and processing of error, combination and distribution of error, measurement uncertainty and so on. It is a compulsory course for the major of measurement & control technology and instrument in colleges with stronger theory and practice. 



Virtual instrumental

Virtual instrumental technique combines the merits of computer technique and traditional instruments, breaking the limits of data processing, display, and transmission of traditional instruments. Through studying this course, students can get a great understanding about data acquisition, graphical programming software, data transmission and comprehensive design methods.



THE WEAK SIGNAL DETECTION TECHNOLOGY

The weak signal is a signal of a very low signal noise ratio, as a used signal, which needs be extracted and recovered from noise by utilizing electronics and signal processing method.

This course mainly describes the noise source and noise distribution law, low noise circuit analyzing and design method, correlation detection and locked amplifier, adaptive noise reduction and other weak signal detection methods and application technologies, which will lay good foundation for next course.



INTELLIGENT INSTRUMENT DESIGN

Intelligent instrument are combination of computer, detection, communication and other technologies. This course mainly describes data acquisition and processing, output channel design, human-machine interface design, communication interface design, algorithm design and anti-interference technology. Based on these, intelligent instrument design principle, process, method and related examples are introduced.


Reliability Design

This course requires students to the product (system) for reliability design and analysis, including the basic concepts and parameters of the system, reliability modeling, reliability requirements set and distribution, reliability prediction, failure mode effect and harm analysis, fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, etc.; According to different characteristics of electronic product reliability, a preliminary to master the method of reliability design and analysis.


The Digital Signal Processor and its Application

This course is set up for students to learn the engineering implementation method of digital signal processing after they finish the study of the digital signal processing theory. The course content includes characteristics and structure of DSP, the methods of choosing DSP chips; in the course, the C54X series for the DSP object are selected to be typically learned, we'll study its structure, characteristics, hardware design, the commonly used peripheral circuit, instruction system, assembly programming, C language programming and the using of its development platform.


The Programmable Logic Devices

This course describes the present situation of the development of the programmable logic devices and internal composition principle based on the digital circuit technology theory, it requires students to mainly master the grammar of the Verilog Hardware Description Language and application on the basis of understanding the basic principle, it proceeds from the basic concept of algorithm and computation, describes how to use the hard line logic circuit to implement complicated method of digital logical system. The course is divided into three parts: 1. from simple to complex, from typical to general, to learn the Verilog HDL basic knowledge step by step;2. model is established in this paper, the principle of state machine structure and design of complex sequential logic circuit design;3. practice instance on computer.
