Recently, the International Education College at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI) successfully held a host of experiential activities showcasing fine traditional Chinese culture. International students from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Morocco, Vietnam, and Iran took part with great enthusiasm, gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culturethrough practical interactions. The activities provided a valuable platform for exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and international faculty members and students.

On December 19, 2025, the eve of the Winter Solstice, the International Education College held a cultural experience activity featuring dumpling-making. During the event, Chinese and international teachers and students gathered together, kneading dough, preparing stuffing, and wrapping dumplings in a vibrant atmosphere. Teachers guided students through the dumpling-making process step by step, as international students followed carefully and added their own creative ideas. Thai students crafted creative dumplings shaped like suns and roses. Vietnamese graduate students remarked that even on their first try, they could already feel the strong festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, Moroccan students excitedly presented their creations, expressing their growing passion for Chinese culture. Through amicable interactions, international students gained firsthand experience of the charm of Chinese festival customs and culinary culture.

Prior to the event, the four-week Tai Chi experiential course for international students in China successfully concluded on December 26. Under the professional guidance of Ms. Yang Yingying from the College of Physical Education, international students started with the fundamentals. Through step-by-step instructions and personalized corrections, they gradually mastered the essentials of the movements. The course encompassed not only the physical movements but also the cultural essence of Tai Chi, enabling international students to appreciate the philosophical depth of Chinese martial arts through a harmonious integration of softness and strength in each motion.

On November 24, the International Education College, in collaboration with the College of Physical Education, organized a cultural experience activity highlighting tea art and martial arts. Chi Aojing, President of the Henan Provincial Tea Art Cultural Exchange Association, gave an engaging talk on the history of tea. Senior Tea Master Chen Yujiao demonstrated her exquisite tea-making skills, receiving continuous praise from international students. The experiential session integrated health-preserving standing meditation with tea ceremony, enabling international students to experience the profound heritage of Chinese martial arts and the refined elegance of tea art through the blending of movement and stillness.

This series of experiential activities stands as a critical initiative of the International Education College in advancing the dissemination of fine traditional Chinese culture and reinforcing international people-to-people exchanges. Through immersive experiences such as dumpling-making, learning Tai Chi, and tea art, international students are provided with diverse channels for understanding China and integrating into campus life. Moving forward, the International Education College will further innovate its forms of activities, assist international students in serving as cultural ambassadors, drive its efforts to build the "Study at ZZULI" brand, and share China's stories in the new era.
