
Leveraging the national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base, ZZULI's students have secured a series of outstanding achievements in high-level academic competitions in 2025, bringing glad tidings. To date, comprehensive academic competitions with ZZULI's Engineering Training Center (Innovation and Entrepreneurship College) as the initiator have garnered a total of 1,312 provincial-level or above awards, up sharply from 534 in 2020. Notably, the total number of national awards has risen to 197 this year, with first prizes surging from 9 in 2020 to 38, a more than threefold increase that signals a strong momentum of improvement in both quantity and quality of award-winning outcomes.
This year, ZZULI's students have achieved a range of historic breakthroughs in several top academic competitions. In the National College Student IoT Design Competition, they won 9 national first prizes, highlighting their innovative strength in the cutting-edge IoT field. Their success extended to the Blue Bridge Cup National Software and Information Technology Professional Talent Competition, where they earned a total of 77 national awards, including 8 first prizes, reflecting their solid expertise in software and information technology. Similarly, at the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, they captured 8 national first prizes, demonstrating leading competitiveness at the intersection of AI and robotics. These remarkable results mark that ZZULI has reached a new level in cultivating students’ innovative spirit and practical abilities.
The outstanding results are attributed to the university's enduring student-centered philosophy and its practice of weaving innovation education throughout the talent cultivation process. ZZULI gives high priority to academic competitions, strengthening policy guidance, support, and investment to develop a robust educational system that integrates competition with teaching, stimulates learning, and fuels innovation. Throughout the competition process, instructor teams from different colleges of ZZULI conducted meticulous organization and guidance, providing participants with comprehensive technical and preparatory support.
With a spirit of diligence and challenge, a great number of students actively engaged in various competitions. They adeptly applied what they had learned in class to engineering practice and cutting-edge exploration. During competitions, they fully demonstrated their solid professional competence, excellent teamwork abilities, and pioneering innovative spirit. It was the shared commitment and concerted efforts of faculty and students that forgedthe outstanding results of 2025.
These achievements have not only reinforced the university’s leading position in Henan Province within the Ranking List of National Competition for College Students from Regular Institutions of Higher Learning, but also reflected the outcomes of its deepened educational reform and enhanced innovative talent cultivation. Furthermore, they have established an exemplary model, fostering a vibrant culture of innovation on campus that inspires more teachers and students to engage in scientific and technological innovation practice.
