On October 18, the Accompanying You in Yu: A Journey of Flowers and Melodies along the Belt and Road - The Second Henan International Cultural Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad, took place with great success. The festival was hosted by the Education Department of Henan Province, with North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power and Sias University serving as co-organizers. Zhang Cheng, Vice President of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (ZZULI), attended the opening ceremony upon invitation. Representatives of ZZULI's international teachers and students, together with heads from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the International Education College, also took part in the event.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Huaxing, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Education Department of Henan Province, Li Yanbin, Vice President of North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, and representatives of Chinese and international educators delivered speeches in turn, expressing their best wishes for the festival's success and strong hopes for deepening international people-to-people exchanges. The series of events for the festival officially kicked off thereafter.

The cultural fair brought together customs display about 17 countries, offered hands-on experiences of 13 intangible cultural heritage items, and showcased special delicacies from 34 countries, providing educators and students from China and abroad with a comprehensive, immersive cross-cultural feast. In the afternoon, the cultural performance and award ceremony were held amid a lively atmosphere, as participants from different countries performed music and dance to celebrate cultural diversity, earning enthusiastic applause.

During the event, ZZULI's international students meticulously set up a Thai cultural booth, enthusiastically introducing Thailand's history, traditions, and culture, and serving authentic Thai cuisines for participantsto savor. The booth attracted crowds of participants, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Vice President Zhang Cheng visited the booth in person, interacted warmly with international students and faculty, sampled the specialty dishes, and took a group photo to mark the occasion.

The cultural festival provided the youth from different countries with a broad platform for cultural sharing and connections, becoming a multicultural celebration of mutual understanding and people-to-people connectivity. ZZULI received the Outstanding Organization Award for its excellent performance and participation.
